Engaging our world
As a university that emphasizes "Christ First in Everything," we understand that we serve a Missionary God. Jesus left His comfort zone to enter our world and reach us with His love and save us. As we follow Him, He leads us out of our comfort zones to serve others in need and make a difference in their lives.
Do you feel called to serve God’s people in hands-on and very personal ways? Each academic year, CUAA hosts a handful of Mission Trip opportunities for students to be a part of both domestically and abroad. Mission trips are generally a week-long experience where students supply physical labor support, lead bible studies and kids camps, and worship and praise Jesus together in while visiting new places, learning about different cultures and customs, and growing in fellowship with one another.
Students generally learn more about the trips being offered that year at the beginning of the fall semester and spend the following weeks fundraising the amounts needed to cover costs for the trip. Campus Ministry is able to use funds and outside support to help make this trips affordable and accessible for any student who feels called to join a mission team.
Domestic Mission Trip destinations have included cities such as New Orleans, Houston, Chicago, Detroit, Appalachia and international destinations have included countries such as Guatemala, Haiti, or South Africa.
